Strauss Eye Prosthetics, Inc. was established in 1978. We have been
fabricating custom ocular and scleral shell prostheses since that time.
James V. Strauss
received his Board Certification in 1984 from the National Examining Board of
Ocularists and is a Board Approved Diplomate Member of the American Society
of Ocularists (ASO). He has served on the Education Committee and Board of
Directors of the ASO and is a frequent faculty lecturer. James is also a
Clinical Assistant in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Rochester. In addition to patient care, he designs and fabricates many of the
tools and products used by other ocularists.
